The village is dominated by Sforza Cesarini Castle, founded as a medieval fortress and transformed in the sixteenth century into an extraordinary Renaissance building. The design attributed to Baldassarre Peruzzi gave the castle a dramatic form often interpreted as an eagle with outstretched wings, still making Rocca Sinibalda one of the most recognisable silhouettes in the Rieti area of Sabina.
